IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

As of Friday, November 7, 2008, we are holding all of our Shabbat Evening services and B’nai Mitzvah at American Jewish University (AJU – formerly University of Judaism) which is located at 15600 Mulholland Drive, Bel Air, CA  90077.

We will be using three different worship spaces at the AJU.  Most Shabbat services will be held in the AJU Chapel.  Some will be held in the Gindi Auditorium.  ALL Shabbat Alive! services will be held in the Colen Conference Center.  You will find a map of the AJU campus attached here, so you will have no difficulty joining us for Shabbat worship.

Service times will remain the same, and as always, the service schedule can be obtained in the Bulletin, on this website and on the temple’s voicemail system.

With regard to the temple construction project, please note that the LBT staff will remain on site in a trailer, located on the south lawn between the basketball court and the Early Childhood Center.  The main sanctuary building will be completely fenced and inaccessible, with the majority of work taking place within the building’s walls. Both the Religious School and Early Childhood Center will remain in operation on the temple site during construction and should not experience any disruption with the exception of some room changes.

We understand that change is difficult, but it is our community that is special, not our location. Whether we are together at the beach for Tashlich, at camp for the congregational retreat, traveling in Israel or Central Europe or at American Jewish University, we are Leo Baeck Temple.

We look forward to creating the LBT experience at our temporary worship home.  If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.
